With warm weather right around the corner, are you looking for a way to get out into nature with new friends? If so, every other Wednesday in room 131, Mr. Gessler’s Earth and Outdoors club meets for around a half an hour to do just that.

This organization, whose purpose is “to get students involved in the outdoors,” member Samuel Denenberg says, holds many trips to do so. In October of this year, the Earth and Outdoors Club kayaked the Peconic River, and in November they hiked Shelter Island.

Furthermore, the Earth and Outdoors Club held a potluck and walk at Avalon Park and Preserve in Stony Brook on February 23.

Ultimately, this group is made up of mostly seniors, according to member Nicholas Latino, and the club is actively seeking new members.
