Arlenis Marte is a junior and first year staff writer at Smithtown High School East. In her free time you’ll find her reading true crime books or binging the newest Netflix series. When she’s alone, you can usually find her singing and dancing along to her favorite songs. Arlenis’ favorite music artists include Elvis Presley and Romeo Santos. Proud of her Hispanic roots, she embraces her Dominican heritage and carries her culture with pride in everything she does. In the future, Arlenis plans to attend an out-of-state university to double major in Zoology and Theatre Arts. She hopes that her passion in performing and love for animals will help her gain the experience needed to excel in achieving her dreams.
